The three most common areas in which to have Botox are the frowns, the horizontal forehead furrows, and the crows’ feet; however, other sophisticated uses include the platysmal bands of the neck, the “bunny lines” (wrinkles on the sides of the nose), the lipstick lines of the upper lip, the depressor muscles of the mouth that cause the lips to be downturned, and the masseter muscle of the jaw. This patient, like many Asian patients, disliked the width of her jaw. Dr. Weintraub injected Botox into the masseter muscle (upper jaw area) to narrow her facial width and to bring greater femininity to her face.
